Using state-of-the-art, minimally invasive da Vinci® technology, our world-class surgeons perform robotic-assisted procedures that provide excellent outcomes and quicker recovery times than traditional surgical procedures. Small, precise incisions mean you’ll experience minimal scarring of delicate tissues. Here are some of the procedures we offer:
A radical prostatectomy is the removal of the prostate gland and affected surrounding tissues. Our robotic procedure is recommended for advanced or aggressive prostate cancer. This robotic-assisted procedure has an impressive rate of cancer control, measured by the number of cancer cells left behind, with far less tissue damage compared to a traditional prostatectomy.
Your doctor may request a prostate biopsy if you are having symptoms of prostate cancer or if you have high levels of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in a blood test. A prostate biopsy is an outpatient procedure and involves gently removing a small sample of prostate tissue that will then be sent to a lab to be tested for the presence of malignant cells.
A sling procedure involves placing a mesh sling to support urinary system structures and treat stress urinary incontinence.
A stent replacement involves replacing a mesh tube that has been placed in the urethra or ureter to help urine or kidney stones pass.
Abnormal DRE can be a sign of prostate cancer, colorectal cancer, or a blocked rectum. We conduct follow-up exams and tests.
