Gynecology

• Advanced Gynecology Care and Women’s Health at Surgipoint

A gynecology specialist  will discuss your treatment options. If you and the doctor decide that surgery is your best treatment, you will be scheduled as an outpatient at our Surgery Center, where we specialize in minimally invasive procedures. Our centers are equipped with the most advanced surgical equipment available. Our surgeons and surgical support teams have expertise in robotic-assisted procedures and other innovative techniques, which they use to consistently achieve superior outcomes, garnering top patient satisfaction ratings nationwide.

Because they use advanced technology and minimally invasive methods, the gynecology experts at Surgipoint achieve greater precision, smaller incisions with less scarring and shorter procedure times so that patients will experience less pain and blood loss, fewer complications, excellent results, and a faster recovery.

Minimally invasive gynecological procedures at Surgipoint Surgery Centers are provided on an outpatient basis, and include:

Bladder Sling

A bladder sling procedure is a stress urinary incontinence treatment that uses a sling that’s placed around the urethra in order to lift it back into its natural position and to help with urine retention.

The actual sling is placed on the abdominal wall and can be made up of ligament, muscle or tissue from the woman’s tendons. The sling might also be made up of man-made materials, such as a plastic that is safe to use in the human body, or a polymer that will eventually be safely absorbed by the body.

Endometriosis Resection

Endometriosis affects one in six women or 176 million women worldwide. This painful condition can cause tissue and adhesions to form, binding organs together, leading to infertility and a range of other symptoms. Endometriosis is the presence of cells similar to those in the uterine lining (known as the endometrium) growing outside the uterus.

Hysterectomy

If you need a hysterectomy, a minimally invasive, robotic-assisted procedure performed by the highly trained, award-winning gynecologic surgeons at Surgipoint offers multiple benefits over a traditional hysterectomy. When performed at one of our state-of-the-art outpatient surgery centers, the advantages of a robotic procedure include significantly less scarring, minor pain, and a much faster recovery period.

Myomectomy

If you experience heavy bleeding, abdominal pain, cramps, and bloating, you may have uterine fibroids. A minimally invasive surgery called a “myomectomy” is the most effective treatment for fibroids. The surgeons of Surgipoint perform myomectomies using modern surgical equipment available for robot-assisted myomectomies.
